RE: greasing a FLUSH KING

Each time I disconnect our FK I spray a little silicon on the blade and on the metal handle and work it a couple of times. Ours is 4 years old and still works very good.

RE: Flush King

We have the Tornado built into our black tank and I have a Flush King. When I flush our black tank I usually use the Tornado twice then once with the FK. Works realy well for us.

RE: Ford F-250 V10

If I were to go back to gas it would be the Ford V10 hands down. If I was going to tow with a gas motor I would want a big block.

RE: BFG A/T or Michelin LTX replacement tires

My last Dodge diesel came with Michelin LTX tires from the factory. My present truck came with BFG Rugged Trail tires and I just replaced them with the same tires. The Michelin LTX tires were good tires and lasted about the same as the BFG but to me they were very poor on wet roads and off road. That is MHO from what I saw on my truck.

RE: Ford F-250 V10

I needed a good laugh today.:D
Used Ford and Dodge diesels sell for a lot less than Chevy/GMC diesel trucks. Anyone that has driven or towed with a Duramax w/ Alison, Ford or Dodge diesel will tell you that the Duramax has more towing power and better mileage. I know that is hard to swallow for you Ford and Dodge guy's put we know it's true

RE: Front bedroom a/c or not?

"Cool" trick is to turn the BR unit down low before you go to bed so it will be chilly when you go to bed, then turn it up a notch so you can watch TV while falling asleep without it on and then will kick on again as needed when you are already counting sheep.
We do this same thing and it works really well for us to. Our bedroom unit comes on maybe 3 or 4 times during the night if the lows are in the 80's.

RE: Shady Oaks RV Resort Wimberly/Blanco, TX

A couple of other parks you may want to check out in that area are Cottonwood Creek RV Park and Blanco Settlement. Both are on CR165 between Blanco and Wimberly.

RE: CrossRoads ?

Im looking at a 2005 27rl cruiser. They are asking $20,000. It is very clean. The dealer wont budge on price. Should i get it or go on?
I think for not a lot more than that you could get a new one through RV Wholesalers pretty nicley equiped. I would go online and price one with the options you really want and see what a new one would cost before I paid that much for the 05.

RE: ?'s on Sidewinder's

The only way I could see getting any sway would be if the bolts holding the wedge at the hitch came loose. We have about 800 miles on ours without any sway.

RE: 5th Airborne Sidewinder Install photos**UPDATED** page 4

I hate to read this as well. Sunny was a big help to me before we bought our trailer that had a Sidewinder install from the factory. He talked to me personally a couple of times and was very helpful with my questions. He even sent me the upgrade kit and a wedge to fit my hitch free of charge.

RE: Tire Replacement

Given Missions past history with tire failures why should I take that chance? Even though our trailer is a 07 it was new when we bought it in June but the tires were manufactered in 06 so they already have 2 years of age on them and the Mission reputation. I would just as soon not take the chance.

RE: Tire Replacement

I use BAL chocks now so I would have to see if loosing 1/2" would keep me from using them. Has anyone had good luck from these Tires BF Goodrich Commercial T/A LT235/85R16E1? I really like the BF Goodrich Rugged Trails I have on my truck.

RE: Tire Replacement

Good information guys and I appreciate it. Our wheels do have metal valve stems now and I will have the replaced when I have new tires installed. So what will be the difference between 235/80/16 and 235/85/16 size wise?
